shape constancy: workbook 1.1
finishing unfinished shapes - large
Why finishing shapes activities are important
Finishing unfinished shapes stimulate eye-hand coordination. When we draw missing parts of different shapes, our eyes simultaneously compare our lines with drawings of complete shapes. This evaluation is followed by hand and fingers micro-movements to correct the direction of the line. The whole process strengthen visual-motor integration and fine-motor hand and fingers movements control.
Worksheets and activities in this workbook
Activities and tasks in this workbook are designed for strengthening visual-motor integration and fine-motor control by finishing different unfinished shapes. Task difficulty increase throughout the workbook in three ways:
-
with increasing complexity of shapes (from circle to more complex shapes),
-
with increasing number of missing fragments in shapes,
-
with increasing length of missing fragments.
