spatial organization: workbook 2.1

connecting dots - patterns in grids

Why connecting dots activities are important

Connecting dots in grids stimulate eye - hand coordination and strengthen visual-motor integration. When we draw a line from one to another dot our eyes follow the evolving line and simultaneously compare its direction with the position of the target dot. This comparison is followed by hand and fingers micro-movements to correct the direction towards the target dot.
