tracing and connecting: workbook 4.1
tracing straight and irregular lines
Why tracing activities are important
Tracing activities stimulate eye - hand coordination. When we follow dotted lines or other kind of lines with pencils or with other drawing tools, our eyes simultaneously compare evolving lines with original ones. Tracing tasks strengthen visual-motor integration and reinforce fine-motor hand and fingers movements control.
Worksheets and activities in this workbook
Activities and tasks in this workbook are designed for strengthening fine-motor control and visual-motor integration by tracing different straight and irregular lines. Lines are drawn as sets of dots which we follow during drawing. Lines differ in their length and spacing between the dots.
Activities and tasks difficulty increase throughout the workbook in two ways:
by increasing lengths of the lines,
by increasing the spacing between the dots.
